<image:caption>This sculpture is a permutation of jack in the box. The spread of the arms as well as the height of the head may make the viewer wonder how this figure fit into its box, which is a nod the magic of the traditional childhood toy. <image:caption>This motley looking crew represents the deeper, darker voices of the psyche. Fear, guilt, shame, and sorrow present themselves as a cast of subconscious echoes, haunting and taunting our desires. <image:title>ALL WORKS - the oven</image:title>
<image:caption>This early sculpture was my first attempt at addressing the horror of the Holocaust. Prominent features include a singular oven and noose within a background of religious iconography. Empty windows on the building suggest a place of emptiness and a quality of unseen suffering. Perhaps the most horrific truth of this piece is its absence of humanity.</image:caption>

<image:title>ALL WORKS - arrowhead</image:title>
<image:caption>The sculpture is a second-generation representation of a Native American arrowhead that has symbolic significance to my brother and his wife. The couple discovered an arrowhead during an outdoor excursion early in their relationship. Years later, the arrowhead is a talisman of love and commitment between the two. I found it intriguing that a small and ancient tool would, hundreds of later, become a symbol of their unity.</image:caption>

<image:caption>A figure, arms outward in circular fashion, rests on a bed of sharp metal, suggesting the dynamic power of a synchronized mind and body to create a sense of strength and calm. 8” height 5” length 2” width</image:caption>

<image:title>ALL WORKS - Mother & Infant</image:title>
<image:caption>My intent is to capture one of the most natural and instinctive human postures - a mother holding her baby. Because this is such an intimate and gentle connection, I was surprised by what the simplicity of the original pipe piece lent in creating this expression of closeness. <image:title>ALL WORKS - The rolling Ark of the covenant</image:title>
<image:caption>Although no one knows where the Ark is, or exactly what it looks like, it has been said that the Ark has traveled through distant lands. Hence, I’ve given the Ark wheels. This Ark is adorned in hieroglyphic-like imagery. Dimensions: 10.5” height 6” length 2” width</image:caption>

<image:title>ALL WORKS - Pistoleer Extraordinaire Richard “Dead-Eye Dick” Diamond</image:title>
<image:caption>Beginning with the early Westerns, films, and dime novels of my youth, I’ve never lost my fascination for this part of American history so filled with the romance of legend and myth. I wanted to create a sculpture that would embody the mythical spirit of the folkloric gun slinger - a lone figure, half calm and half crazed, rustic yet swaggerly, and ready for action. Dimensions: 19” height 10” length 4” width</image:caption>

<image:title>ALL WORKS - lunARTICKINGS</image:title>
<image:caption>This is a very large-scale outdoor sculpture that slyly implies the old myth that gazing at the Man In The Moon will lead to becoming a “lunatic.” The piece has many parts that move. If you look carefully, you will see the face of the Man In The Moon. We should all acknowledge the many earthly influences created by Our Moon.</image:caption>

<image:title>ALL WORKS - chain gang</image:title>
<image:caption>This is a welded steel ensemble that contains nine figures. The striping for the uniforms was machined, and the leg irons, hands and waist chains were constructed of chain and 4” ball bearings. All nine figurines rest on a rectangular steel base. 55” length 17” height (figures) 11” height base 9” width</image:caption>

<image:title>ALL WORKS - moonlight over Pyramids</image:title>
<image:caption>This is a hanging sculpture that is meant to evoke a mirage-like quality of the moon ascending over the pyramids. The geometrics of figure and ground evoke a sense of ancient timelessness and space.</image:caption>
